Diane Von Furstenberg

The woman behind the simple, go-to wrap dress is Diane Von Furstenberg. She first designed the wrap dress back in 1974, wanting to design a dress for the working woman. This woman's back story is incredible, with marrying a prince, than later divorcing the prince, and all the while working hard to create her brand to what it is today. Diane plays with pattern in her iconic dresses, making them for casual events, to a glittering gown that can be seen on the red carpet. Many style icons from the around the world wear Diane's dresses, such as the very well dressed Duchess Kate, Sex and the City's Sarah Jessica Parker, Madonna, and the model Karlie Kloss showing off one of Diane's newest dresses on the runway at New York Fashion Week. This hard working woman is now the president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CDFA). What an honor, and what a title.

You can learn more about this amazing woman in the September/October issue of Style Equation Magazine, or visit and shop Diane's site, DVF.
