Custom Timbs

Timberlands have made their way back into the realm of fashion over the past year. This time around, individuals are using the classic construction boot as a canvas, adding a touch of uniqueness and personality. One of the dopest pair by far has to be music producer, Swizz Beatz's! His custom timbs feature images from pop culture to post modern art from renowned artist Keith Harring and Jean Michel Basquiat.

This amazing Alexander McQueen abstract peplum style dress has been circulating on tumblr. The collaboration between to designer and artist Maggi Hambling is phenomenal. 

Most Wonderful Sneaks of the Year

The time has finally come! To all sneakerheads across the world, the most anticipated sneaker of the year, the Air Yeezy Red Octobers will finally be released December 27th! With the shoe being sold at only a few Foot Locker locations, just a handful of sneaker lovers will actually be able to get their hands on a pair of there limited edition kicks!  Mr. West had been ranting or as he would say expressing his "visionary stream of consciousness" about his dilemma with the company not allowing him to create more product and withholding information about the release of show. Although Ye' has moved onto Adidas, and will be no longer working with Nike, I know he is relieved that his sneaker will finally be in stores.

Visuals for Bey's Album

Everyone has been raving about the release of Beyoncé's recent self-titled album. Inevitably, Bey came, saw and conquered early morning last Wednesday when releasing the visual album early morning without any warning. She undoubtedly, as the "beyhive" would say "slayed the entire world". In a matter of days "Beyonce" has went platinum, not surprising from the quality of the album.The songs range from soul, r&b, rap and pop; showing the artist's versatility in music. Making a visual album Bey stated she wanted to show fans what she sees when she hears her music. Two videos in particular "Ghost" and "Mine" featuring Drake were definitely visually appealing pieces. Both shot predominantly in monochromatic settings and garments, they have an captivating eerie essence. Standing out from the other videos, the two pull you into their abstract imagery. If this is the vision Beyonce really sees when she hears her music she may be a great balance between an artist and a musician. Congrats to Bey and all her success this year! 

Balmain loves a Bad Gal!

"How 'bout a round of applause...standing ovation" for the Barbadian bad gal has officially been named the new face of Balmain. This doesn't come as a surprise, Rihanna has been spotted numerous time this year wearing the designer label to events. 

Keith Haring x Joyrich LA

Another dope collaboration from Joyrich LA for this upcoming winter! The brand incorporated patterns and prints from iconic postmodern artist Keith Haring. Figurines from Harings pieces such as the dancing figures and barking dog were used in the fabrics for the collection!
